Exploring Europe: My Journey Through Italy and Beyond

Exploring Europe: My Journey Through Italy and Beyond

I was born and educated in Switzerland, where I gained a deep appreciation for the beautiful country of Italy. I once worked as the General Director for an Italian pharmaceutical company. Today, I reside in Suriname in South America, far from the nefarious European Union and its chaotic policies. But my journey continues, and I'm now sharing my experiences and stories from these varied locations.

From Switzerland to Italy

My journey began in Switzerland, where I spent my formative years. The Swiss education system is renowned for its rigor and quality, and it instilled in me a keen interest in both the culture and language of neighboring Italy. I have a natural affinity for Italy, not just for its breathtaking landscapes and rich history, but also for its warmth and hospitality that make it a home away from home.

Working in Italy

I had the unique opportunity to work as the General Director for a leading Italian pharmaceutical company. During my tenure, I honed my strategic and leadership skills, and I had the privilege of overseeing a team dedicated to improving the well-being of people worldwide. This experience was invaluable and allowed me to see firsthand the structures and policies that govern the country.

Residing in Suriname

Currently, I call Suriname in South America my home. Surrounded by the lush rainforests and vast savannas, I find myself in a world far removed from the political tumult of the EU. In Suriname, I am able to live a simple and peaceful life, free from the constraints of a bustling, sometimes overwhelming, urban landscape. The city's proximity to the Atlantic Ocean offers a refreshing blend of natural beauty and a laid-back atmosphere.

Exploring Pomezia and Grosseto

Returning to Europe, I have explored two charming cities - Pomezia and Grosseto. Pomezia is a small, tranquil town that often goes unnoticed, with a population of just 60,000 inhabitants. It's the kind of place where you can walk the same streets that Romans have walked for centuries, while feeling a connection to the past. Interestingly, it's not a place people think of until they find themselves in Rome without a place to stay. On the other hand, Grosseto is a vibrant city located in the south of Tuscany, with a population of 84,000. It's a city rich in history and culture, offering a sense of community and a bustling, energetic vibe.

Why These Cities?

The beauty of Pomezia and Grosseto lies in their unique character. Pomezia provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Rome, while Grosseto offers a lively city life with a strong sense of local identity. Both cities have a charm that is hard to resist, and they continue to shape my understanding of what it means to be a global citizen.

My journey through Europe and beyond has been enriching, and I hope to share more of my experiences and insights with you through this platform. Whether I am in Suriname, exploring the streets of Pomezia, or enjoying the Tuscan sun in Grosseto, I find joy in sharing my stories and connecting with others who share a passion for travel and exploration.
