As an American, would you rather spend your vacation somewhere in the US or would you rather visit another country? Many would argue that exploring beyond the borders of our home country offers a unique and enriching experience. Growing up, I had the fortunate opportunity to travel extensively within the United States. Visiting relatives in various parts of the nation also enabled me to witness the diverse landscapes and human experiences the U.S. has to offer. From spending days at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. to wandering through the majestic parks, these experiences enriched my life and provided a broader perspective of American culture.

However, while I appreciate the richness of my home country, the allure of exploring farther reaches of our planet is strong. There is truly a whole lot more to this world beyond North America. Countries like Europe, Asia, South America, and Oceania have long piqued my curiosity. The opportunity to experience different cultures, hear foreign languages, and taste exotic cuisines provides unparalleled personal growth and joy. There are still many places within the United States and Canada that I hope to discover, but my true aspiration lies in venturing overseas.
