Mary the Mother of Jesus: Her Early Life and Spiritual Journey
Many questions arise about the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, but we have limited biblical information.
According to apocryphal sources, Mary was born in Jerusalem to Joachim and Anne. The Bible provides very little information about her early life, but esoteric and spiritual sources offer intriguing insights.
Early Life and Prophesy
It is believed that Mary was born into a miraculous event. Her conception was a miracle as her mother had reached menopause and had never borne a child before.
Her parents were older and childless, and when they finally conceived her, others speculated that the child may be the long-awaited one as prophesied.
When Mary reached a young age, her parents died. Left with no family, she moved to 'the place on the hill where the priests and priestesses lived,' which is believed to refer to the Essene colony at Mount Carmel.
Essene Colony and Spiritual Development
At the Essene colony, Mary was taught awareness rituals and ways to articulate her inner experiences. While the environment lacked warmth, the teachings and experiences formed her spiritual foundation.
It was at this colony that Mary met a man who brought 'great magnification of warmth and a clear, pure, and resonate presence.' This relationship and union with a likely angelic being occurred when Mary was 13 and 15, respectively. It marked a significant transformation in her spiritual journey.
Conception of Jesus and Aftermath
At the age of 15, Mary conceived Yeshua under circumstances filled with light, love, and grace. The moment of conception was a beacon of divine presence.
Her partner, though present, died during the pregnancy, but his presence remained with Mary, sparing her a life of grief.
To provide for Mary and her child, it was arranged for an elderly member of the colony, Joseph, to become her husband.
Mary and Joseph then took on the responsibility of teaching Yeshua, instilling in him the language of Light meditation and instructions to listen to his soul.
Later Life and Legacy
Mary and Joseph had other children as well. The gospel according to Mark lists their names. Throughout her life, Mary remained a highly wise spiritual teacher, contributing her light to the world.
She was part of a spiritual nucleus that brought light and love to humanity. Mary's primary purpose was to prepare the way for the teachings of Jesus when he returned.
Mary's Message to Us
Through her spiritual journey, Mary wanted to convey a simple yet profound message: choose love, peace, and self-awareness. She encouraged us to remember that we are not separate and that our innate human spirit is free to express itself.
Mary referred to the 'field of Living Light' as our birthright, urging us to remove the veils of illusions and tap into our inner wisdom and love.
In many spiritual contexts, 'Living Light' symbolizes spiritual illumination and inner enlightenment. Light is often a metaphor for wisdom, understanding, and interconnectedness. Through this light, we can transcend our physical selves and connect to a deeper reality.
