My Favorite Places: Kemthur, MVT, and Tynemouth - A Journey Through Nature
Hello, I am back to writing after months. In today's article, I will take you on a journey through my favorite places in different parts of the world. Let's explore Kemthur, Saskatoon's MVT, and the beautiful Tynemouth Longsands.
Kemthur - A Subtle Village in Udupi
One of my favorite places is Kemthur, a tranquil village in Udupi, India where I was born in the neighboring village of Manipura. Although I had rarely visited Kemthur during my childhood, after joining engineering college, I fell in love with the Sunday morning walks there.
With its small population, Kemthur offers a calming environment. The adjacent natural beauty through the roads encourages one to walk more. The village is home to a hanging bridge that connects it to Manipura. Initially, people of Kemthur were dependent on Manipura due to the lack of proper roads, but in the 2000s, a bridge was constructed, making it a cool hangout spot on weekends for students and locals.
The Meewasin Valley Trail in Saskatoon
One of my favorite places in Saskatoon is the Meewasin Valley Trail (MVT), approximately half a block from my home, and it embraces the South Saskatchewan River. It offers a peaceful escape and is a beautiful spot to spend time.
A recent visit to the MVT included a stroll through the Rose Patch. It is a lovely area with vast fields and beautiful scenery, making it a perfect place for mindful walks.
Tynemouth Longsands - A Local Gem
Another favorite place of mine is Tynemouth Longsands, a beautiful beach located near my home in Tynemouth. The contrast between the vast expanse of the beach and the local cemetery provides a serene atmosphere perfect for daily walks, meditation, or simply enjoying the natural beauty.
Flower beds and pathways offer a variety of scents and sights, and I often have fun with the birds through call and response whistle conversations. The birds are particularly fond of my imitations of their song, and they join in, creating a delightful auditory experience.
Village of Suponevo - A Russian Gem
Suponevo in the Bryansk region of Russia is another charming place that captures my heart. The path around the walls of our monastery is one of my favorite spots to walk, often engaging in conversations with the monks.
The old monastery's apple orchard, which is older than the USA, also holds a special place in my heart. It is a testament to the enduring nature of our traditions and the beauty that can be found even within the confines of a monastery.
Conclusion
From the hanging bridge in Kemthur to the Meewasin Valley Trail, Tynemouth Longsands, and the village of Suponevo, each of these places has its unique charm and beauty. They serve as a reminder of the joy that can be found in nature, no matter the location.
